After a childhood spent on Long Island, a junior year at Tyler School of Art in Rome sowed the seeds........and less than a year later: a job offer too good to be true - training horses in Tuscany. Nora Kravis - an idealistic young American with braids down to there, quit a job designing fabric in Manhatten and bought a one-way ticket to Italy, ending up in Radda in Chianti in 1972. Within a year she had worked her way into the University of Pisa, to start a second degree in Veterinary Medicine, and pursue her first real passion – to live and work in the country surrounded by animals. The chaos of New York was far away; and the way back a very long one..
